Trout Fishing

Normally this blog is limited to the kids, recently my buddy Jon took my trout fishing in northern NC. We caught 13 trout. Great day all the way around!

Here I'm catching the big one with a nice assist from Jon.

I caught the big one on the right. Jon caught 2 that were almost as big.

Jay Feather's Birthday

Yesterday we celebrated Jay Feather's 11th birthday. He wanted a bowling party, so that is what we gave him. He had many friends celebrate with him.

Jay Feather checks his score. He won this round.

Jay Feather is a cool dude!

On the Prowl

This afternoon we went to the park after church for lunch. He is a quick picture of Sonic and friend "on the prowl".

Sunny Weekend

It has been awhile that we've had a nice sunny weekend day that isn't cold. Today wasn't to cold (57 deg), but was beautiful outside, not a cloud in the sky. I took the kids to the park and as you can see, I think that they enjoyed it.

Sonic prepares to karate kick the playground equipment. I guess it offended him.

Requisite animal photo. My new lens sure is sharp!

Sonic asks, "Is anyone home?"

Tinkerbell just hanging out.

Jay Feather says, "Where is my DS?"

Believe it or not, but we didn't teach her to pose like this. It comes naturally!

Snow Day

Today was a snow day. It started snowing around lunch and has snowed quite hard for quite some time. I don't think that anyone was expecting it. The kids were happy when they got home from school. They hope that it snows enough that they'll be out tomorrow.

Mr Ed says, "Gimme an apple!"

Tinkerbell played Dora on our adventure.

Tinkerbell

Can't have a day of posting without a new Tinkerbell picture.

Sonic in Action

Sonic decided that he didn't want to play spring baseball and that he'd like to try tennis again (he went to tennis camp last summer). I think that he is really enjoying it, but not as much as football.

Jay Feather's new favorite sport

As promised, here is the first of several planned posts. Jay Feather is really enjoying tennis. More than he ever did soccer, baseball or karate. However, it doesn't come close to beating Nintendo (be reasonable, what could beat Nintendo?).

I purchased a new "L" series lens and it arrived today. All of these shots were taken with it. I'm very happy with it so far and look forward to mastering it.

I'm Back

For all of you who have been wondering why I've not updated in 2 months, all I can say is that 60+ hour work weeks don't allow for frequent blogging. If you've missed the pics of the kids, sorry I'll try and do better. Expect some updates shortly.

Let is snow...

The first winter weather has arrived! The schools called this morning at 5:30am notifying us that the kids would get out 3 hours early. Don't know if there were more excited about the snow or getting out of school early. Here are the Tech Family kids along with some of the neighborhood kids.

Neal Family Christmas

Last night we attended our 1st Christmas party of the year, the Neal family Christmas. Neal is Lois' grandmother's maiden name and they get together every year at Christmas. Here are a few photos celebrating the event.

Here are Tinkerbell, Lois and a cousin. As you can see Tinkerbell didn't feel like posing.

Jay Feather is happy it is Christmas.

We have to post a pic of the grandparents eating.

Here is Lois, her sister (right of back row) and several other relatives.

Family Ham

Tinkerbell is the family ham. That shouldn't come as a surprise if you've previously looked at the blog. She begged me to video her, so I did despite the less than ideal conditions.

For God so loved He gave...John 3:16

These words are famous. You see them referenced everywhere from church services to football games. You'll notice that God's love motivated Him to give us the greatest gift (Jesus). As Christians, God's love that lives in us should cause us to give.

This weekend our church held a give away. Members donated clothes, furniture, toys and small appliances.

We then opened the church up to members of the community and allowed people to select whatever they wanted. Ladies from the church even wrapped up some of the items for our guests. Great time all the way around!!

Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving two times this year. Once at Clark's grandmother and that evening at Lois' mother's home. Great times at both celebrations. We have much to be thankful for.

It is Christmas time...

We started the annual Christmas decorating over the weekend. This year Sonic and Tinkerbell are so excited that they decided to put on an outdoor presentation. Enjoy the video below.

Halloween

I know that I'm a little late posting Halloween pictures. Lois had each of them a pumpkin which they carved in their own unique way

The kids had a great time trick or treating. I took them out while Lois stayed at home and gave out our candy. Tinkerbell got "tired" and I had to carry her bag for most of the night.

Touchdown run

This photo sequence shows Sonic's touchdown run. Notice that he ran past several defenders on the way to the score!!

Be sure and check out additional photos from the game by clicking here.

1 vs 3

In this photo sequence, you'll notice that Sonic is carrying the ball and there are three defenders in front of him. Who will win?
